Endurance For Hope                             

 Endurance For Hope has been set up in order to raise money for the Hunter's Hope Foundation.  The goal of this endeavor is to fund research and raise awareness of Krabbe Disease.  My name is Brent Measles and my wife Scarlett was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease in 1997, she was 17 at the time.  Scarlett received a bone marrow transplant in 1998 that stopped the progression of the disease.  Today she has trouble standing and walking so she is in a wheelchair a lot of the time, but by the grace of God she is alive.  We are trying to recruit runners who believe in this charity and its cause.   We finished our first race weekend in Orlando at the Walt Disney World Marathon in January.  There were six members of Endurance For Hope that participated in the 5K Family Fun Run including Scarlett who I gladly pushed over the finish line.  Jeremy Reed and myself also participated in the Goofy Challenge, which consisted of running the half marathon on Saturday and the full marathon on Sunday.  It was a very fun weekend and will hopefully just be the start of many more to come.  Coming up in September Scarlett is hosting a Every Step 5K Walk with all proceeds going to Hunter's Hope and Universal Newborn Screening.  Click on the link below for more information. If you are interested in joining us in a run please contact me for more details.  Together we can help everyone who suffers from Krabbe Disease and also get support to add Krabbe to the Universal New Born Screening List in every state in the country.  If Krabbe Disease is detected early enough in a child treatment of the disease is more successful.  For more information on Krabbe Disease please visit www.huntershope.org .  Donations are greatly appreciated so please click on the To Donate page if you would like to give to our cause.
